French cable maker Nexans has obtained a significant contract with Swedish transmission system operator Svenska Kraftnät to provide 320 km of high-voltage cables, both onshore and subsea, for Sweden’s Gotland Connection project, Nexans reveals in a press release.
“We are excited to partner with Svenska Kraftnät on the Gotland Connection. This contract showcases our established expertise in high-voltage cable systems and our commitment to delivering reliable and effective solutions to facilitate the energy transition,” writes Pascal Radue, president of Nexans’ PWR transmission business, in the statement.
The project is set to be finalized by mid-2030.
